I always get such great advice and help from this board, and here goes again.
I've got a MC that consists of a word (our company name) tween animated to appear then disappear letter by letter in sequence. I want to duplicate the MC and make it cycle through 4 color changes, each MC instance playing only once (I know how to change the color in AS), with the added twist (and here's where my difficulty is) that each successive duplicated MC needs to begin playing before the preceeding one is finished. This will allow the animated word to begin in a new color as the previous one is still partially visible. It's easy to set up the complete animation as a motion tween all in one timeline, but I want to be much more efficient than that. (In fact our current site - URL noted below - has the effect I'm after in the intro... only it IS all tweens at this point.) I'm looking for advice on how to think this through and approach the AS.
Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

not your average sock puppet
Just an idea:
At the appropriate point in the timeline of the tween, put in a keyframe that tells the next letter to begin playing. Each letter MC would have to know which letter MC is next.

Finnegan,
Thanks for your thoughts... are you suggesting that each letter be a MC? Right now the MC consists of one entire tween cycle for each letter that spells out the word.
