Using the only tutorial in the Interactivity section on scrolling text (though people claim there are several, there is only one), I successfully created scrolling text. The thing now, is changing it. Anyone familiar with DHTML will know of the popular scrolling methods there, putting several DIVs inside one DIV and calling the sub-DIVs by a link. Is it possible to use the same idea in this situation? Or is it easier to change the variable and load a new text file?

The FLA file and TXT file(s) can be downloaded at http://www.relliuq.f2s.com/ext/quill...illeristic.zip and the tutorial I used can be found on FK at http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/In...59/index.shtml

I don't think I really made sense there, so I'll rephrase to clarify. I need to load another variable (which is an external text file that is going to be scrolled) by a button from the mainstage. Anyone have any ideas, or have had success? If another method of scrolling can do this, I'd be happy to switch.

    Hi there,
If you goto http://www.flashguru.co.uk he has an excellent source file on creating a news scroller that imports a text file into the swf. You will notice that he uses this style news scroller himself.

    Cheers,
