I like building complex graphics in photoshop...such as beveling etc... but How/What is the best way to build comlex graphics like that, get them into flash and have them look great with no white matted background?

    Thanks -

    well dude...

thats kind of asking for a large file size by doing it, but you can use png files and import them into flash for best results if you want to use photoshop.

PNG is your best choice i believe .

Though if youre into complex gfx youre better off doing them in Illustrator and work with vector gfx , to ensure your swf s are not heavy and dont take a long time to download .

I agree too. To have good looking graphics in Flash use some sort of vector graphics application like Illustrator. You can create stunning vector graphics as good as photoshop graphics, without losing any quality when you import to Flash.

    Thanks for all your replies.
Sounds like using Ilustrator is the best route to take...
