    Question

Does anyone know how to create boundaries for a movie clip? I've looked at the code for the pingpong games, but since I am a beginner at actionscript, I can't figure out how it works. So far, I've gotten the movie clip to stop somewhat sucessfully when it hits a boundary, but thats about it. Please help!

    Thanks, Jaime

    Question

What exactly are you trying to do? Are you talking about making a ball or something bounce off the sides of a flash movie, or are you talking about the actual movie clip boundaries for collision detection?

    Talking

I'm trying to make a ball bounce off the sides of the movie clip. Actually, I wouldn't mind learning how to make collision boundaries either. Any help would be VERY much appreciated. Thanks!

    Cool

there's a good tutorial in Flash Magic which goes over the whole pong thang, also a tutorial that focuses on collision.

colin moock's site is also a great resource for collision and related items:
