    try this:

    1. close flash

    2. go into your font directory (c:/windows/fonts)

    3. Go to the font your having trouble with and open it up

    4. close it

    5. open flash again

that should do the trick, some times u just need to give your computer a friendly reminder htat you've installed this font.

Thanks for the idea, still isn't showing though. i contacted macromedia and they said:

'So Flash fonts must have an outline. Photoshop wouldn't require this outline, but Flash would. However, all truetype fonts have an outline. So at this point I'm not sure if it's lack of an outline, font damage, or possibly the installation of the font. Check the technotes, check your font manager if you have one (do you have ATM? That could contribute to the problem) and let us know if there are more pertinent details that might help solve the problem.'

Im not being thick am i??!! If the font was available it would show in the font box in the tool palette? You see its only showing Garamond. ?????

yeah, garamond is definitely a truetype font.

alright, i have one last thing that might work before you resort to just downloading it again or whatever your lastr esort may be.

    go into your fonts directory
    go to file>install new font
in the bottom left navigate into the c:/windows/fonts folder
wait for the fonts to load
    click on garamond
    click ok
    cross your fingers
    open flash

    good luck.
