I have a web comic book site. I used LiveMotion to make the comics. My file sizes are much higher than I would like. I create the pages in Illustrator then save them as .gif files. I put the comic together in livemotion then export it as indexed. Is there a better way to keep the file sizes down? When I tried it in jpeg I get to many artifacts showing up and the file size is larger.

Hey those are great! I like em.

Adobe did a feature on a comic made in LM called The Shut-Ins

I was gonna say to click the How-to link but for some reason the How-To page isn't there anymore. But there should be some good info in the article.

You might want to try to not import your art as gifs. Try importing them as Illustrator files. And I'm pretty sure they'll stay as vector artwork instead of raster. This should keep the file size down. Let us know how it goes.

I was using illustrator files at first. But when I tried the same files as gifs the swf file size was cut in half. Since LiveMotion is a vector program I was really surprised.
