There are loads of free fonts available to download, all of which are created by someone. I thought I might like to have a crack at making my own font but don't have a clue how to do it.

Does anyone know what the process is or any URL's that explain this?

    Cheers

its fairly simple really, learned it very fast. i just got a freeware program off of tucows, sry, dont remember the name, and its self explanatory from there. all u need is the program and it does most of it for you. you just put down dots and connect em, haha. simple, simple, simple. more advanced programs are better but u can do it with something free easily.

okay i made a font, heres how i did it.

    1) http://www.download.com search for 'font creater program' yes, thats the actual name of it. look around you'll find it.

2)i wrote out all the letters in the alphabet in both caps and lowercase along with 01234 and all the {[ !@#$ and other crap. Then i scanned it in and cut it up into little letters and saved them each as 'a.bmp' or '1.bmp etc. make sure u save em as .bmp.

3)fire up that font creater prog and bring up the 'a' box. right click it and go to import image and find the corresponding bmp, import it then resize it and what not. i tried to remove some of the excess points to make my letters more simple.

4)Once that all was done i saved it and installed it. yee haw. now i have my own font.

a lot of people ask this question -- try this: http://board.flashkit.com/board/show...hreadid=147348

    hope this helps

Thanks to all for the replies, I will have a shot at that when I have some spare time (or when my boss isn't looking).
