    I'm new,
I'm seeking a tutorial to do a button animated, that is when I put mouse over the button, this one starts to animate, like the signature of the moderator Eddie.
    Could you help me?

    Thank you

    Cool

Heres what you need to do, Lets start with a new movie so you start fresh and can see how this is built with out anything else in the library.

first open the library for the new movie go to the main menu (at the top) and click on window > library notice how there is nothing in it.

Now create a new symbol by going to the main menu and click on Insert > new symbol, When the dialog box opens make this one a movie and name it animation.

    Click ok.

Note at the top of the timeline you see two words on the left side one is scene1 and the other says animation. You'll need this later.

Now create the animation you want to happen when you mouse over the button.

Now go to where it says scene 1 and click on it. you are now in the main timeline again.

Now look at the library window and see that you have an item in it called animation. This is your animation that you just created.

Now Make another new symbol by going to the insert > new symbol and when the dialog opens this time select button. Name it Button one.

    say ok.

Notice that you have four frames that are labeled up,over, down, hit.

Make a keyframe in all four frames.(to do this just highlite the frames with the picker tool and right click and select insert keyframe)

Now in frame up, draw the up state of your button. (you can import items also if you want)

Now in the over frame, Pull the animation you created from the library onto the stage.

size it and place it where you want it.

Now in the down state draw what you want in that part of the button.

The Hit frame is important because it is not visisble but determines the hit area that the cursor will respond to. now make the shape you want the hit area to be.

Now go to the Scene 1 text at the top of the timeline. Click on it and see that your back on the main timeline.

Notice that you now have two object in the library. One that says button one and the other that says animation.

Click on the button one object in the library and drag it onto the main timeline.

No just test the movie by going to the main menu select control > test movie or just use ctrl+Enter.

    Regards,Bill
