    Is there any way to make the cursor dissappear for a custom cursor in flash 4? flash 5 uses the cursor object, but is there any way to approximate this with a version 4 swf?

    No, you can't change it in Flash4 swf, but there are programs that can change it in exe file (swf with Flash player).
