is there a way to use variables for the name of the loadMovie target?

i was trying to figure the way to use variables for the name of the loadMovie target. something like:

loadMovie("swf/work/"+curYear+curMonth+curDay+".swf", 7);

..which doen't work.. =|

does anyone know how to do this?
