    Please help.

I want to create a projector on cd, with links to directories on the cd (not a specific file, just a directory), however the only way I found I can do this is through a swf/htm page.

The problem with this however is that if the viewer doesn't have shockwave it doesn't work, and I don't want a redirect or anything to install it.

Basically it is an exe that has to be a standalone of sorts, with buttons that link to directories on the same disk in other formats.

    ANY HELP PLEASE

    I'M DESPARATE!!!

If you can't call on a file such as my program or ***********s or AfSaver then your really in trouble..

Because that leaves you with 2 choices..
    A. Use a ActiveX control
    B. Writing your own flash viewer or executable that allows what you want to happen (could possibly be easy through VB but it depends on where that .ocx control goes.. C++ would be very time consuming)

http://www.***********.com has a program that opens files and directory's (sort of)

My program will open a file in it's default application.. basically it's just like double clicking on say a .mov and having it open in quicktime or media player whichever one the .mov is assigned too..

It now also has the ability to open the directory's the way you want.. but a file would have to be included with your .exe

There's also a program that I've only tested as a demo http://www.ashzfall.com/products/afsaver this program would probally do what you want as well (if you could call on a file that is)

Note: I don't consider Director to be a alternative due to it's inflated cost nor .bat's (and yes this is partial copy and paste from another post
