    Talking

Hi, I'm making a website intro and thought of some 3D in it.
I have Swift3D, but I think I wasted the money...

Do you have a link for open source Swift3D files where I can take some and build my Intro with? The 3D in Swift3D is quite low - sow need ready files.

    Please Help Me.
Thanks in advance, regards - Master Shin

    3D objects

    Hello Master Shin- (bows)

Swift 3D is not really designed for 3D modeling. Instead we decided to take allow for importing of ai, eps, and 3ds files to allow users to use the most widely used 3D modeling apps and then use Swift3d for 3D, animations, lighting , etc. I know there are lots of sites with just 3D models up, I'm not too familiar with them though. I can get you started by pointing you to http://www.3dcafe.com. They have LOTS of models that can be imported to swift 3D. Hope this helps!!!

I've been to http://www.3dcafe.com, and I downloaded some of the models, but they seem to come upside down, and the models are detailed, so I can't flip them all!

If there was just a group command in the program, or a selecting a few objects at the same time using Shift.

    Too bad...

    Grouping

    Hi again Master Shin-

Never fear!! We have implemented a grouping function, which can be used by selecting the objects desired (by holding down shift and selecting the objects), or selecting all by hitting CTRL+A. Then use the group command (ALT+G) to group the objects. Ungroup is, oddly enough, ALT+U.
Hope this helps!!! Again, the upsidedown thing is weird, but you can rotate it 180 degrees and right it after selecting all objects and grouping.

    hello

Swift 3d dose take some work and time to get used to its not a quik solution:

in my case i was having a simulaire problem w/files from carrara

1)bring the file in to 3D max (any version) reoreiantate the objects as needed
    2)resave as a 3DS file

    3)should appear as you like.

    hope this helps you

    NOOOO!!!

    It doesn't work!!!!

The .3ds is 700kb, so it doesn't export it to .swf - it gets stuck!!!

    What to do???
