All right, here the deal is: I want to load a pdf file from my flash movie on a cd w/out opening a browser window when they click a button. I also want them to be able to click another button and have it start the instal of acrobat, if neccesary. This is an exe file... any ideas what I need to do?

    Any help is appreciated...

    Regard, Devon

FS Command Exec will luanch the EXE.

The best way to luanch a PDF without a browser is with a third party app. Just about all projector tools will do this. Flash Tools, SWF Studio, Projector Luancher, Jugglor, ETC.

depending on your needs, and skill, I either recommend getting SWF Studio or getting Flash Tools.

You can find a working example created in SWF Studio (www.northcode.com) at http://www.northcode.com/cgi-bin/dlo...s/internal.zip

The example bundles the PDF inside your EXE (it will also work with external files on a CD) and opens the PDF file when your press the "Open PDF" button.
