    Hi,

Can you help me? I want to wait 2 seconds in a flash movie before I go on to an other scene. Can you tell me how?

    Thanks,
    Rico!

There's more than one way to do this.

If you just want to wait for approximately 2 seconds, then just stick 24 extra frames in before the goto -- assuming you're running at 12 frames per second, which is the default for flash movies. If you're running at 20 frames per second, stick 40 frames in there, etc.

If you wanted to be more exact, you could do this:

    Set Variable: "x" = GetTimer
    Loop While (dx < 2000)
    Set Variable: "dx" = GetTimer - x
    End Loop

GetTimer is the number of milliseconds that has transpired since your movie started. You can check it at any time, and then have the computer keep checking it and checking it until it is 2000 milliseconds greater than the first time you checked it.
