Importing Illustrator eps - HELP!!

Everytime I try to import an Illustrator eps I get the message "The eps file was not completely understood. Part or all of the file may be missing. Flash only supports importing the Adobe Illustrator eps file format..." I've tried various versions of Illustrator from 7 to 9 and experimented a bit with strokes and fills, but all to no avail.

Anybody out there know why?

I usually save mine as version 5 - 6 eps.

Usually this works unless there are complex shapes with cutout paths
