My website has a few swf files of videos; usually they are about 1-3 megs. Every once in a while when I'm watching one of these swf videos the internet explorer crashes and sends me out of the site. Is this a common problem?

It happens to me all the time with large flash files, especially at places like Shockwave.com where they have these huge flash files. Believe it or not the last time I viewed one of those huge movies at shockwave.com my computer crashed so hard that I couldn't restore it (even with 20 years of computer experience under my belt) and I had to erase it all and reformat the whole thing.
After that I just stay away from huge flash files.
I thought I was the only one who experienced this or it was just my system.
