Thread: kliks in my sound files

  1. #1
Hey just wondering why my sound files have clicks in them. Any suggestions? They have cliks in them mainly when they first start playing then the clicks die down. But I have them at 112kps, which my dsl should handle. Hmm

Over the past few years of playing with Flash I have found the best way to get sounds really good is to

    1. Record the sound and save it in MP3 format, not wav.
    2. Compress it before you import it into flash and compress it as little as possible. 96kbs is good, 128 is better.
    3. Try not to use the any of the compression controls in Flash (it's a system based on the beatnik player which wasn't so hot)
    4. Keep sounds short.
    5. Some sound cards still click no matter what, check also to see if your computer has an update for the audio driver.

    Hope this helps.
