    Thievery

THIEVERY! Once again, the Dreamweaver and UltraDev communities are confronted by theft of copyrighted material. Ahmet Asar, the owner of http://www.codekit.com has stolen a number of extensions, graphics, and articles from Dreamweaver developers and is offering them as his own.

Please do not patronize this site, give permission to post your material, or in any way support this person or his web site. Please remove any links you may have to this URL. Thank you!

Of course you noticed that codekit got an award from sitecritique. You own it.

Before I go off on you with my ranting, let me say to everyone else that I checked this out first. I saw supathief's post but did not take it at face value. I checked the whois database and found codekit.com is registered to none other than... you guessed it! Asar Ahmet. Now let the beatings commence:

I retract my "thanks for the link" post since you came in here telling everyone about the great site you "found" and as it turns out, it's your site. Did you really think no one would figure this out?

If you wanted to promote your site, you should have done it openly (unless of course what supathief said is true, in which case, I can see why you would want to be sneaky). You could have come in here and said, "Hey, I built this great site. Come take a look at it and tell me what you think." Personally, I would not have cared. But, nnnnooooo. You had to come in here with a cockimamie story about how you were "looking for documents" and "found a site". YOU ARE A LIAR!!

    LIAR LIAR LIAR!!!

To anyone else who reads this post: Thanks for letting me vent. I just get upset when some loser with no netiquitte comes in and insults my (and everyone else's) intelligence.

    Some Proof

Compare http://www.codekit.com/tools_sitespring.asp with the following URLs

    http://www.macromedia.com/software/s...tinfo/why_use/
    http://www.macromedia.com/software/s...use/team_manag
    ers/
    http://www.macromedia.com/software/s...use/project_ma
    nagers/
    http://www.macromedia.com/software/s...use/it_manager
    s/
    http://www.macromedia.com/software/s...use/designers_
    developers/
    http://www.macromedia.com/software/s...views/reviews/

All of these URLs were used verbatim and pieced together to make CodeKits
SiteSpring review. All of this material was done in clear violation of the
    Macromedia Copyright at http://www.macromedia.com/help/copyright.fhtml
Because CodeKit is a third-party site you are required to have their
copywrite information on every single page taken from Macromedia materials,
    this definitely was not done.

It also looks like our friend Mr. Ahmet has had a few of his threads closed for spamming on Flashkit.

    codekit guy is a thief

    Friends,

Please don't support this thief and don't send him any traffic. This guy is a thief who stole from many of us. Only when he did not have any choice but to face prosecution did he take off that stuff from his site.

Boycott such thieves... tell others to do the same.
