What do you think of trends? Do you use them a little, never use trendy objects, or are you a total trendwhore?

I use em a little. I like it when my picture boots up the "Saturn Navcom System" and 45 degree arrows are used, but i try not to take it to far. What are your views on this?

I think that originality is hard, and when you come up with something original, it's a miracle.

And when that miracle happens of you coming up with something original, people start copying it. Then its not so original. That's why 2advanced.com has to do a redesign every year.

I use trends that I like or that I find useful. My site definitely utilizes a jukebox and floating windows. I find those very useful and cool as heck. But I do not use an intro (a very un-useful trend 99% of the time).

I think we need to define the terms "trends" too.

Exactly - some things are just common to websites in general. Would you call a play button on a VCR a trend. Some things are just smart for distributing content.

    HTML is not a trend.

45 degree angled arrows are a trend.

    Flash is not a trend.

3d spinning logos is a trend.
