    Hello,

I'm working on a standalone flash movie which needs to be mailed around a company which uses Windows NT as their OS and Netscape as their browser.

I have a problem where a simple button which exectues a GET URL action does not work on the test system. (it works fine on all other OSs).

    Any ideas?

It's microsofts doing. In Win 98 and higher if the system is lacking IE or IE is disabled then Get URL from a projector will do nothing.

Use Flash Tools (Freeware tools) or a comercial third party app to luanch Netscape. You coual also do some fancy FSCommands that acess .com but on W2K it won't work so my advice is Flash Tools if you can't afford a third party tool like lets say SWF Studio.

Flash Tools web site says Macromedia resolved this in Flash 5, is that true?

Suposidly, but I still notice that it always opens in IE... It is very frustrating.

aah... that might explain it. The studio I'm in are slow to upgrade to Flash 5, I'll publish it at home to see if this has any bearing on the outcome.

    Cheers
