    Hi!

    I do front-end for 5 years (over 50 web-sites).
I know Flash / AS, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Photoshop and Corel.
Few day ago my boss comme in our (designers) office and told as: "Starting today you will learn PHP and MySQL so you be able to make sites with content-management in 2 mounths. This is yours main task and I don't want anny comments about it."

    What you think?

i think the more u know the better u r, so ur better off always learning stuff, lucky to have a boss that does, or else u could be doing the same stuff over and over.
as for html and ccs, do u actually know them or let dreamweaver do it 4 u?

I don't use Dreamwever at all.
Only Hotdog but if is not other way, I can use notepad as well.

About learning: yes, my list with "must learning" is very long, I just want to show in what direction this job will go.

    Here is my list:
    - Flash / AS
    - JavaScript
    - HTML / DHTML
    - CSS
    - PHP
    - MySQL
    - ASP or JSP
    - Poser
    etc., etc.

I majored in English, moving from tech writing to web design, and one of the most important components of a web site lies not only in its design, but its content. If you can't help generate coherent and well-thought out content, a great design will be ruined.
