In a cavern, in a canyon,
    Excavating for a mine,
    Dwelt a miner, forty-niner
    And his daughter Clementine.
    Oh my darling, Clementine

I've heard some strange things in my time ... even said a few strange things myself ... but lordy, I swear ~ sometimes I hear things come out of the mouths of my in-laws that still astonish me ...

My father in law's been feelin' a little poorly as of late (has a bug that's been goin' around) ... I asked him how he was doin' today - was he feelin' any better ... His reply:

"I feel like I was shot at and missed; sh*t at and hit" ...

I tell you, it's hard to convey sympathy when you're laughin' your head off

I've seen you use this term before Lanny and I've never heard anyone else use it! Must be an "Americanism" I guess. It's pretty wierd.

I always preferred the term, like sh1t off a shovel although this doesn't make much sense either unless it's a teflon coated shovel, in which case, it'd be pretty fast
