yes you can insert flash in a presentation.
I did this for a class presentation one that, I had their heads lovely
if you click on the "More controls" tool box ( the one with a hammer and a wrench or something"
options pop up: Pick the one that says "Shockwave flash object".
the flash box pops up on the powerpoint screen.
Now just right click on that square box, and click Properties.
Now the flash controls pops up.
the one that says movie: make sure your SWF is in the same directory as the powerpoint presentation ok?
and just type in the url.... toggle a l little then you got it !!!!!!!!!!1

eldogs,
thanks dude. didn't have to use it then. they decided to keep it a good ol friendly flash movie. much thanks though, for the response. duely noted for any future interactions with powerpoint...i'm avoiding that program at all costs...but might come in useful one day.
