    Fellow Swishers,

I need to know why I can't select an image in MS Powerpoint, do a >edit >copy and paste it into Swish. I am able to do that in about any other application I can think of. Why doesn't Swish allow that.

Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong ASAP...I have a presentation on Monday and we wanted this in a Flash format instead of Powerpoint.

    thanks ahead of time,
    Dave(the VisualStorm) ;o)

    Leaving things a bit late
What are the properties of the Powerpoint image...can you change it to Gif, png, jpeg or wmf?

They are all .gif & .jpg.

Now I'm really confused. They are all .gif & .jpg. So when you say can you make them one of those I'm beginnings to think that you can do it with .gif & .jpg.

Why why why can I do that with any other app in the world and not this.

    thanks for fast reply!

How are you trying to get the image in, If its a jpeg or gif, just use Insert Image.

Real cut & paste ...not import

I have a 12.5MG Powerpoint file with about 60 images. To save each and every image to a file and import in unheard of. All other graphic applications can handle:
    1) picking a graphic in one application
    2) >edit >copy (or control C)
    3) >edit >paste (or control V) in a different application

Saving each image is just not user friendly or a way of doing graphic business fast.

PLEASE HELP IF YOU KNOW HOW TO DO A REAL CUT & PASTE

    thanks in advance

Re: Real cut & paste ...not import

The only way is to save your image to files then import them into SWiSH (you can drag and drop from Windows Explorer to SWiSH to add them). This i svery effective if you have image files.

Howeverm SWiSH does not support copy/paste of images via the clipboard. We could probably add this as a new feature in an future update, but that won't help you for Monday.

So unless you have the original images already, I'm afraid that the more tedious copy and paste to a paint program and save, then import into SWiSH is the only thing to do.

    Use a "screen capture" pgm

    VisualStorm,

    1) Use a "screen capture" pgm to capture each of the 60 image areas in your Power Point slides.

    2) Then save each as GIF or JPEG

    3) Insert these "captured" images into SWISH...

    Hope this helps!

    Ray
