    hi,
does anyone know how to replace the dafault macromedia-flash program icon of the published exe/hqx file?
is it true that this is illegal and some sort of copyright violation?
    thanks
    matt

Legalities: You are allowed to change the icon. What you are not allowed to do is get rid of the one thing that's left in the right click menu ("made with macromedia flash 5" or something like that) and you have to put in your credits page or on your main page that it was made with flash. There is a great page at the macromedia web site that tells you all about their rules and regs... I don't know the address... but just search under licensing and flash...

As for changing the actual exe file's icon itself, I believe you need a third party program to do it. I've seen one b4 and I 'll see if I can find it agian...

Changing the icon for the cd is easy, if you want to do that instead. just check out the autostart tut. here at fk to see how.

    Hope that helps,

    Regards, Devon
