Hey peps sorry about this off topic but i really needed it i been to download.com and downloaded a few and they suck i need a ftp program i just got a new server plzzz send me a link and info about it..TY

CuteFTP works for me at home well. I use WSFTP at work. Both very good.

Hey thanks very much..But http://www.cute.com lol is a porn web site when i clicked on it.. But it's cool seen a nice pretty lady..lol do anyone know of a free FTP prog that works good/perfect am new to these things soo i wanna test it out and then i'll buy one later on. Thanks.

Try FTP Voyager

It is pretty simple to use (just drag and drop)
It can be as easy or as advanced as you want it to be. It also prety much eliminates the need to use telnet (can perform most of those function with a click of a button with out having to mess with UNIX commands - yuck!)
Before I started using it I went through about 5 FTP programs, but haven't touched any of the rest in about 2 years!

try AbsoluteFTP, or SecureFX with some high security
features.

WS FTP is the whip for my needs. Here's why
1 They sitll have the free version available for those not ready to invest in an ftp.
2 It's one of those strange programs that fit on a floppy which can come in handy when (and this has happened to me) Your at the beach a client calls your cell and demands that you make a minor revison to thier site now. Your computer is 50 miles away and the office is 5 minutes away.

I agree with Frets on this one : WS_FTP Pro suits my needs .
As for the trying out - you can download a 30 day fully functional evaluation, or you can stick with the freeware (i think that's what Frets had in mind).
The freeware version is called WS_FTP LE 5.08 and can be obtained from http://www.ipswitch.com download page.

another thread on FTP programs. I didn't realize until I read it here that CuteFTP is spyware. I've started using smartFTP.
