XML for Flash Beginner

Hi there,

I've been reading through this forum and it looks like Flash using XML could be a pretty cool thing.

I am familar with loading variables into my movies from an asp back end or from text files. Also I am familar with the basic goings on of XML.

What I am having troubles with is picturing where I can use XML in flash and why I would want to do this. What advantages it gives, how far I can take it, that kinda stuff. Could someone provide me with some examples or links to tutorials or technotes so I can get a feel for this.

It has links to examples and tutorials and also a couple of books with good examples. You will probably be interested in some of the socket stuff that can be done allowing you to do real time chat
