I need a way to change a font face on-the-fly.

The user will be able to type text into a field, then click on a button that writes the text from the input field to a dynamic text object that the user will be able to move around and such. I'd like to have buttons for different font faces.

    Any way to do this?

yup .... but it depends if file size is an issue ...

    if its not ....
create a movie clip which has the same variable text box on each frame, but in a different font. Then to 'change' the font just jump to the relevant frame.... now obviously this will make the filesize kinda large (10-50k per font)

    if size is important ....
Have a target movie and create a text box movie for each font ... then load the font movie into the target movie ...

If you need more help just ask!
(the latter is the technique we used for http://www.moonfruit.com which has interchangeable fonts)
