    Video files and Flash
Im interested in doing some roto-scope work (animation over live action) but flash seems limited in vidio formats it can use.

1.Any techniqes/progs that can get mpg in flash?, or prog to convert the mpg to quicktime at least.

2.Also any way to capture streaming video?

    Hi there,

1.- VirtualDub can convert from MPG to AVI (and lots of other codecs) and is freeware, as far as I know. You can get it from any site dedicated to video/DVD ripping/etc.
    Try http://www.vcdhelper.com
You need QuickTime Pro (cheap) for editing and saving to QuickTime. If you have lots of money, try Premiere or FinalCut Pro.

2.- Saving streaming video. If it´s QuickTime, it could be possible with the Pro version. But I don´t think it´s possible with ASF or Real.

    Good luck.

    Thumbs up

In http://www.vcdhelper.com/faq.htm#streaming they have 2 links to products for ASF and Real.
Unfortunately, the server was under maintenance when I tried.

    Cya
