Thread: xml loader stops animations?

    Did anyone else notice this behavior?

    I am loading a large XML document and while I am waiting for the data to arrive I am playing a load animation (separate mc). Shortly after I initiate loading, the animation stops, long before all data has been received. This isn't by design, is it?

    I appreciate any ideas,

    If time on one frame takes to long it moves on one frame and goes on parsing...

    Thanks for the link.

    I will use loadVariables instead and pass the xml as a string to the parser. Using XML load actually freezes the browser for the duration of the load.
