Okay, I have a purple square that is semi-transparent in my main movie. The problem is, I want to load a new SWF over the square which will contain regularly updated text (hence the second SWF), and still want to retain transparency. Is it possible to make the background of the second SWF transparent, or how else could I achieve this effect, without making the TEXT in the new movie transparent?

Thanks in advance for your feedback, this will help me out a lot!

my understanding is that loaded movies all load with transparent backgrounds as default. You could check in the help files though to confirm.
