    flash ripples are very intensive CPU wise, you actually may be better going with a javascript that does it, (just search the net) there are quite a few of them, and they actually do a better job than flash. Ahh I'm a flash heritic burn me! :-) That may be your best bet.

    actually, the best ripples are made with applets...check out the applets made by the anfy team (sorry, dont remeber a url)

    Anfy is an excellent site

    Not only do they do ripples, but lake effects, plasma etc etc. Its free software to download and the effects are endless.
