Ok you graphics gurus, what exactly is an art image format and how do I open it or covert it to something I can edit?

    i think it's a God-forsaken Microsoft image format.

double-click the file. what happens? does your image editing program open?

seems to me that Photoshop, Paint, or Image Viewer would show that format.

    I've tried Photoshop 6.0
    Freehand 10
    Illustrator 9
    Real Draw
    MS Paint!
    Micrographix
Uhm.... a few others, it will not open to save my life?

Try importing it into flash. if that fails, try opening the file with either quicktime, windows media player, or IE.

Found out it is an AOL image. So I installed AOL, opened the images, then saved them as jpg's. Worked great.

    Thanks guys for the help.

It was a long shot, but had no choice. I don't know if I should get rid of AOL now or not? Keep it around for funky images!

I'd just leave it on the system...just don't let it become your default browser...
