    Hey, I just ordered the book by colin moock, and I was wondering just how good it is, and if it will help me to build games.

    No it has no information about making games in flash.

    It is an excellent reference on Action Script and will help you learn some really nice techniques.

    The flash game studio book by Friends of Ed is more suited to making games. Personally I've read it and it wasn't suited to my needs.

    Making games is very difficult. I would suggest looking at good gaming sites such as http://www.gamedev.net and http://www.gamasutra.com
