No worries, I've uploaded it to my server so you now be able to download it HERE (33k for the fla)
If you want a horizontal scroller, I've commented the code on the main clip so it's really easy to change and put a link to my forum where you download a horiz version with a nice pic

Alrighty, since there have been some enquiries about how to make various things, I'll add some source files to the thread to help out even more. Hopefully, if anyone has any source as I do that I keep in a "reusable" folder so I've got the basics there for use in other things, feel free to post the swfs (as long as they're not too big!) and a link to the fla so people can download it.
The first two installments are:
A simple button rollover effect
Check out the swf
[swf width="100" height="100" background="#000000"]http://www.jameseyoung.co.uk/flashkit/button_effect.swf[/swf]
.
//
Download it from
HERE
Simple pre-loaders
No real point in putting the swfs up as once they've loaded, you won't see them!
I made the simplest preloader possible and one that will display the bytes loaded and the total.
Download them here:
Simplest Preloader available
The other one I can show as I've left it in a loop, just read the comments in the 3rd frame to update it!
[swf width="180" height="100" background="#000000"]http://www.jameseyoung.co.uk/flashkit/preloader_1.swf[/swf].
//
Download it HERE
Thanks for the extra links swampy

1. May this thread NEVER EVER die. I've been wanting to do this forever. Jamble, good job
2. The VB codes are right here: http://board.flashkit.com/board/index.php?action=bbcode
3. For answers on making .swf files transparent, use a bloody search. It's in the publish settings section. As far as I know, it's in the object tags, not the actual flash file itself. (am i right on this?)
4. Yes, the line of the poem in my footer is Yeats.
4b. Yes, I do smile everytime someone emails me with the rest of it. Thanks you guys.
5. If for some reason this is your post, and you just happen to be reading this thread, read the newbies announcement, it's the sticky at the top of the newbie board.
Just tryin to add stuff, lets not let this thread die.
One love,

6. No, there is NO discussion of warez/juarez/cracking here. Support Macromedia, and buy the product you use. (i do believe it's okay to pirate MS stuff though, those sodding *&$%$%^$&((^(*()(^#@#$!@@!#!#@#^$&
7. And no, won't help decompile .swf's. Yes I understand it can be used for good (to learn action script). No, it still isn't going to help.

I decided I'm going to ask every question I have in this thread. Anyway, I want to load a movie clip from my library: press button, movie clip pops up on root level. How do I name this movie clip (give an instance name)?
-
Just give it a name, and use load move into the target.

Select the movie clip and press control + I (I think..) this will bring up the instance panel, name it there

actually, my problem was loading movie clip and then naming it while actually playing, not naming movie clip while making flash project. but thanks anyway. and i figured out a diff. way of doing it.
danke tho

Javascript question
i got a pop up window via javascript. non resizable, but you can still maximize it... anyway to fix that without using a chromeless window? i hate those sodding chromeless window.. if i wanted a chromeless window i'd go look at porn or warez popups. (yet, i look full-screen... go figure..) Anyway, anyway to make it non-maximizable.
-darque9 on way too many glasses of scotch
