It's always those with no design skill and business sense that think logo creation is a 15 minute, whip it off and you're done job.
Well custom logo branding IS worth a lot and you can't expect a professional to design you one for a simple link.
That's the kind garbage attitude that's dragging us professional designers down into the mud, making us look like we're running a 25 cent lemonade stand. There are REAL designers out there looking for work and it's people like you that are cheap bringing us down.
Why don't you try going to a lawyer and asking him to give you a consulting session free in return for a big pat on the back and see how fast you get laughed out of his office.

U think the important point here is this, many of thh people here are flash professionals and take a lot of care in their work, don't run off logos in 10 minutes flat for free and simply don't have time for pro bono work, BUT there are plenty of folks in here who will do such work but

is not the best way to do it, have a bit of respect, explain why you can't pay and give more details about what you want done.
