unzipped .fla problem

I don't know if anyone out there can help me.
I keep downloading flash tutorials, and examples in .zip format, but once I 'UnStuff ' it, the .fla files show up as simpletext docs and the .swf files only play throught quicktime. I have Flash 5 and am using a Mac.

hi there... you need to use FlashTyper (not the one here at Flashkit.com) to open and use the Flash *.fla files correctly in the Mac version of Flash 5.0
