I am trying to use a flash movie as a button within a html page. The button is over a gif image.
On a PC (not mac) I am getting a difference in colour between the flash movie and the gif even though they are both specified as the same hex colour (999966)
Does anyone know why this is and what I can do to avoid it?
Cheers

yup..... i have this problem all the time....
the only "solution" is to change your colours to the websafe palatte (gif216).... some of the "same" colours also display differently on different monitors....

As far as I am aware the colours I have used are websafe 216 palette colours.

then, i'm afraid, you're stuck.... like i said, i have had this issue, espcially with the darker colour... the colours are identical in rgb and hex value etc etc but they still come out looking weird...
sorry i can't help you more.....

Hi flash@outlinedesign.co.uk:
It is your color settings:
You are probably using 16-bit (High color) settings, if your change to 32-bit (True Color), your shouldn't have the problem anymore.
