Does anybody know of anywhere online that has a good collection of good graphics?
Also, which graphics program would you choose to use to create a background for a flash animation.? (i.e-wireframes.)

Photoshop is great, but I don't know if thats the best program for creating a background. I would use illustrator because it also produces vector graphics.
(case you don't know)
Photoshop is bitmap, AKA it's graphics are generated and displayed through small pixels, where as flash and illustrator are vector, which is basicly a mathmatical code that represents what your seeing, so if you blow it up or shrink it down, the file size stayes the same and the image does not get all wierd on you.
I think you would have more luck in both final file size and appearance with illustrator.

Yes use illustrator if you are importing graphics into flash...the jpg and gif format usually ends up looking awful...
Some guy here in the forums has a kewl photo site...it believe it's royality free and he works off donations...

is it possible to get a quality picture for free without the writing on it?

Yes I agree with using Freehand or illustrator, in my case I creat the majority of my graphics in freehand and export them as a .swf file then simply import them into flash and there you go.
