link to other files?

Hi, I've been working on this for quite some time now and just can't get my problem solved.
My problem is that I would like to link to other files on my server. You press on one of my buttons and the file (a picture, text, etc) appears in a new window. How do I do this and how do I find out the address where my file is stored. You see, I'm having some scripting problems.

PS: I'm working with flash 4.

If you are tring to open a new window in flash and dispaly infomation in the new window you have to use get url in the flash file and tell it to open a new browser window and in the new broswer windo you have to put the html code in for a pic or what ever you want to display. Hope this helps -Zek

thanx this already helps a lot. and now another difficult one, how do I find out the address where my file is stored? do I just type http://servername\folder\file?

If you dont know the url of the file go into your server and just look for the file and re trace it to the web address. Hope this helps -Zek
