Is there any way a flash movie could be placed on a form in an application written in visual basic, and then receive "go to frame x" commands from vb? If so what about passing in variables to text boxes in the movie?

I would love to see our app with vector based animation, I know little about coding, and our vb people hardly even know what flash is. So just wondering is it a pipe dream?

    Hi

I know it can be done, as a company I used to work for has successfully intergrated the two. I designed the interface but don't know alot about the backend. I think they had Flash communicating though the Active X control. Send your programmers to: http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl...ingwithflash4/
And see if thats any help to them.

    Cheers

ive done a wee bit of work with VB and when i got flash4 on CD, there is a VB+flash example .FLA file on that CD. think it might be in the goodies folder, ill check later and get back to ya.

theyre definetely there, and it shows you how they interact.

cos in VB5 when you go to customise the components tab, there is a flash movie component in there.

    hope that helps, DaZ
