I am a freelance Flash Developer looking for some opportunities. Here is an overall look at my history in order to give you an idea of what skills I have and some examples of sites that I have created. The first site that I would like to show to you is my own company site: http://www.webryder.com. This site is what I consider my resume, as it has client listings, links to sites that I have created and lots of other informative aspects. As the site showcases there are numerous sites that I have both created and update on a regular basis. My skills involve HTML, image creation, Flash, and all of the latest design technologies, including PhotoShop, Fireworks, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Swift 3D, Swish, and numerous other applications.

One of the more recent major projects that I was involved with was the authoring of two chapters in the 'Friends of ED' series with the WROX Press organization. The first one that I was involved in was for the 'Flash 5 Dynamic Content' book, where I discussed how CGI scripts can interact with Flash. One example was a mail-form, while the other was an online poll where users could select various options to vote somebody out of the 'house'. Here is a link to the listing on the 'Friends of ED' web site: http://www.friendsofed.com/books/stu...ent/index.html .

The other chapter that I wrote was for the 'Flash 5 Studio' book that came out recently, writing about how Flash can use text files to update content inside of a Flash file. It discussed how to set up a series of text files on the server to be called on once a user makes a selection and it calls upon the correct file to update the text field. Here is a link to the listing on the 'Friends of ED' site for this book: http://www.friendsofed.com/books/stu...sh5/index.html . If you would like any references names for the books, please do not hesitate to ask and I can provide them for you.

During 1999 and into 2000 I work for an organization called Learning Design Studios (http://www.learningdesignstudios.com) where we used Flash for educational purposes and online courses to show users how a variety of things worked. The idea was excellent and this was a great experience that just didn't last long enough. I have also done some online educational Flash for an organization called On Time Training (http://www.ontimetraining.com).

In addition to these, I have gone on to do some writing for some reputable online sites. I have submitted articles for both gif.com (http://www.gif.com) and wdvl.com (http://www.wdvl.com) under the Internet.com company. These are actually somewhat enjoyable to write and allow me to give back a little to some of the potential Flash users that are coming up now.

Some other sites that I have designed include:

Auto eUniversity.com http://www.autoeuniversity.com - latest project
Internet Solutions Canada http://www.is.ca
Learning Design Studios http://www.learningdesignstudios.com

Clients that I have done contract work for also include:

CareerBeacon.com http://www.careerbeacon.com
Staffing Strategists International http://www.StaffingStrategists.com

So, if you are interested in hearing more about me please contact me. I am located in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada, have over four years designing professional web sites, and am currently looking for opportunities. Any questions, do not hesitate to ask!

Thank You,

Shawn Ryder
