I just installed the Japanese font set (win2000) and have no problem using it in Word. I want to incorporate Japanese font into Flash but it doesn't seem to work....does it?
(and i do not know Japanese)

As I understand it, Flash does support Japanese fonts, but will only use them if you are using the Japanese version of Flash running on a Japanese OS.
Here is the tech note:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl...byte_fonts.htm
The Japanese language requires a double-byte (16-bit) character set. If the Flash Player runs on a system where Japanese is the active codepage, Flash uses the Shift-JIS character set by checking for Shift-JIS lead bytes and, when they are encountered, treating the lead byte and the following byte as a single Shift-JIS double-byte character.
You might want to try copying passages of text from KeyCaps (Character Map in Windows) and see if that works.

Hey,
I'm on a Japanese OS and using Swish
I can use Japanese font in Swish but not I have to select both a Japanese font and change the default text in the toolbar that's on a japanese OS.
You could try using a program like Paint that might recognise the japanese character and save it as a picture.
That's what I've done on my band's site that links with our Japanese site, that way, they browser don't recognise Japanese character and won't require a Japanese capable browser
if you need some japanese words, maybe I can help

Here's a site, Gray Graphics that has several truetype Japanese hirogana and katakana fonts. These work in FLASH as well as in word processing programs.
