Question For Mods/Admins

Hey, I was diggin around and found that the name I wanted when I registered has never posted, has no profile information (other then one word under interests), and it's been over a year (One year, One month, and 13 days to be exact) since that name was taken. I sent an email to the person asking about the account, but never received a reply. My question is, would it be possible for me to get the name? I only ask because I use that name in several other forums and have developed a bunch of flash footers using that name. Sorry if it's a dumb question/request, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask
