Macromedia has Flash dection files on their web site that you can download. I believe that there is one that will do what you are looking to do. Just go to their web site www.macromedia.com and type something like 'Flash detection' in the search box. I hope that ends up working .

    Hi there

I am having the same problem to detect if a user has got flash 5 player or not.

The problem with the one on the macromedia site is that you have to use flash 5 to create this detection. Pointless if they do not have flash 5. So they will be prompted first with a error or download before anything else.

Is there no script (VB or JavaScript) that will detect a flash 5 player and if not available then redirect them.

Please let me know if you got any new ideas from somebody.

    Regards
    Heidi
