    Cool

    does anyone know where I can get a tutorial on how to open Real Player on the click of a button from within a flash page to play Real Audio (.ram) sound files.

    All help much appreciated.

    I should think you can use the getURL action to call the ram file and the browser will automatically launch the real player.

    I have already tried this but it always opens up a new browser window which I do not want.

    how about using getURL with a javascript url to launch a smaller window with the real player embedded in a html doc?

    Thanks for this answer I would give this a try but not knowing Javascript I would'nt know where to start.

    Although I do not wish any other window to open.

    I dont know how to do that but there is something better you might like. I heard that it is possible to make a flash interface that will control a RealAudio document that is on the .html but invisable.

    I dont know how to do it yet but I'm sure someone does!

    I found the RealAudio Player made in Flash for the web. Its in the "Macromedia Flash 5 Super Samurai" book. Its a good book and has alot of good stuff in it. You may want to check it out if you really want Flash and RealAudio together.

    You might check out this site. It's been around for quite some time, but there aren't any tutorials yet.
