Probably a dumb question but here goes.............

What do I have to do to get a good normal spacing between the letters? Most are actually touching the letters next to them(making a 'c' next to an 'l' look more like a 'd').

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jason

    Type

I've found the type makes a big difference. Try using Microsofts Web font "Veranda" I've had good luck with it.

Changing fonts helped some but I've still got letters touching. It seems to do it worse with 'c' and 'm'. I guess it's something I'm going to have to live with for now.

Ok guys, now im totally frustrated!

I made a whole site with HTML text, because the TITLE text is not displayed sharp ever. I used a special small pixel font which is totally sharp on screen.

Today I watched my site at work. And... 3dfa don't embedd the font I used!!! All the fonts are arial.

Ok. I thought that I must set the flag for "Export Font outlines". F*** now the font is blured and absolutely not sharp!!!

What the hell is this. All my work for the trashcan?

I can't live with unsharp fonts.

Developers: Please fix this... add a global parameter which users can set to never antialias (blur) the fonts. please

    Has anyone a solution?

EDIT: You can also look at this thread for more information about that.

@blanius: i think you used a non standard font. what font are you using in the example of the thread above?

3dfa 3.72 has this problem also...but there is no export font outlines parameter. 3dfa 3.72 export fonts ever. they are antialiased too.

    another problem (

if I set the html text to "export font outlines" then the last letter of the text is away. the box is big enough! if i set back the parameter all works fine.. argh

in the moment i think that 3dfa is not the right tool for semi-professional working. especially if you want clear and small fonts.

EDIT: Remember, I often tell things that I dont mean. 3dfa is great!

Here is an example of what I mean...

The one who get the text (in the same size) sharp, without a antialias effect, wins a big fruity lollypop.

I wrote an email to insane about this problem.
    This is the answer:
    ------------------------------------------------------------
this is a flash problem - built-in fonts are antialiased

the next version has pixel fonts to overcome this problem
    ------------------------------------------------------------

I look forward to the new version.

    There is another problem...

I don't know if this is 3DFA related or Flash related, but here goes.

In Linux HTML fields are NOT displayed, and anytext on the buttons is hidden, as well as any transparency is forgotten.

Does anyone have a solution to this?
