    i'm a newbie in techniques... can someone teach me how you get the tv screen effect with all the lines in your designs? just like beachbum and the "heaven" design... i like the texture of their background... can u do it in photoshop?

    For Bluedok... Those lines are called scanlines.
    There are lots of tutorials on them...try scanlines in
    google and you'll see.....

    this is a short explanation...

    Make a new document say.. 760 px x 2 px
    Make a selection width 760 px, height 1 px
    Fill it with a color
    Now goto Edit -> Define Pattern

    Make a new document say 760 px x 420 px
    create a new layer
    goto Edit -> Fill
    Instead of foreground color, use pattern
    select the pattern you just created and voila

    You can make hundreds of pattern that you can use over and
    over again in all your creations...
