    Hello,

    My name is Darryl,

I have been learning flash for a while now, towards 6mths, and am updated with Flash5 now. I have a few books on preorder from amazon.com to finish up what i dont know, and I would like to get into web design. My problem is Im not a graphic artist and i dont like working alone.

Im currently in search of someone who is good and would like to work with a talented person, and start or join a web design group.

Here is the problem, I have many chances at working at a place, but my age limits me. im 17 currently, and i love both computers and cars. I am very reliable, Im a junior in highschool, and want to split money made from work either 50/50 or 60/40 depending on circumstances of who works more, or equally, amount being paid, etc etc..

Im a very friendly Male, and very trustable/reliable. Please im looking for someone to work with to either start a web design group, or i would like some offers into joining one?

Any response to this would be appreciated--at 17 I am or i consider myself, very talented in the field (hey i built my first pc at the age of 11 ALONE) and i study and if i dont know something i find a way to learn and do it.

Thanks all of you, i usually read articles, and see how people do see work etc, but now i decided to speak up after MANY MANY months it feels to me.

    Thanks

    --Darryl B.

You think you are too young?

I am currently in web design. If you think you find it tough because of your age, I am only 13.

I have had job offers from professional web design companies, to work with Microsoft Australia & other large corporations but once they found out how old I am, they tend to lose interest.

I have just started up my own web design company:
    http://www.q-designs.com

I have only really worked on one site so far, becuase my company is so new:
    http://www.robotsecurity.com.au

It is very difficult to start your own business, especially here in Australia.

Where are you based? If you are in Sydney, Australia, I would be interested.

    Thats my prob

    A-Trix

Honestly, dont get me wrong, but i probably couldnt trust a 13yr old to do any work for me. at 13 you should be in school. 7th gr i am guessing. Im sorry but i can see why people woudlnt trust you at 13 to hire you that and its illegal tell your i think 14 or 15 legally i think you can only work 15hrs a week until your 15
and the younger the less -- so why would someone want to hire someone that young?

    just to explain -- =)

Sorry, i do wish ya luck though

    I consider them decent,
you have an advantage at your age for creativity
    but expressing its slightly different,
I realized as i gerw up, my creativity weakened without the constant practice of it. But i rather got better at expressing what creativity i do have. As i notioced in your designs, you have a design, a pretty good one, but it looks plain to me. Need shadows, lights, shades, something more then the beyond sterile look you have (in a manner of speaking)

At 13, its unbelievable what your doing
at 17, i realize its doable, because like ive said
i was building PC's at 11 so to be doin flash at 13
is probably just as hard =)

    File Size

    Darryl B,

I make use a shadow behind my menu to make look a bit more professional.

I have also been working on putting a light flare into my intro. The effect like in my footer where the light comes from behind the letters.

The only problem is file sizes.

Have a look at another post of mine where I discuss file sizes:
    http://63.146.109.204/board/showthre...threadid=24704

Light flares & shadows may push the file size over the limit.
