stupid question i know but is it important if you are making a fully flash site???

XML - eXtensible Markup Language - can be used in conjuction with Flash by loading it into Flash as an external file that has information that will be used in your Flash movie. It can do some pretty cool stuff. For instance, imagine that you create the interface for your website out of Flash. And you add a link/category to your site. Normally, you will have to reopen the Flash *.fla file, and then add the link/category, then republish the Flash movie.
So, instead of doing that, if you were to build the movie where it loads XML data, you could add/change your links and categories by simply changing/updating the XML file. That's just the beginning.
Honestly, I've just started digging into the usefulness of Flash and XML in the last few months, but it seems to be an awesome combination.
